The Pro Division pilots are all within less than 8 km from the lead to the back. They all had to land at the third tp near the Junction launch and by the time I raced up to see if they needed anything just about all of them were back in the air in a large gaggle and rapidly climbing to cloudbase. The leaders have now crossed the valley back to the east side and are quickly approaching tp 4, south of Mt Button. The cumulus on their side of the valley is causing a lot of shading- will they be able to keep flying fast or is it going to get more technical? This next turnpoint is really deep, they don’t want to land back there. Lots of racing still to go, and Bill Belcourt is sitting in pole position and wants very badly to finish this one in the air as his feet have turned to “hamburger” he reported on launch. Go go go!!!
