The task committee has decided to start the day at the Bullion Falls trailhead. Athletes will then have to climb 1200 meters and 8km to the Mt Edna Launch. The Adventure Division task is 39 km that takes pilots from Mt Edna out to a big cylinder NNW of Junction in the foothills, then to a smaller cylinder West of Circleville where smart choices in the air will rule the day- options are plentiful. From there they head back to the ENE and must land about a mile north of goal and walk it in. A great combination of technical flying and foot racing. I would predict a lot of lead changes and a lot more pilots in goal today.

The Pro athletes will use the same Mt Edna launch and fly the same course to start, but then then have to top land (hopefully) in a meadow near the Junction launch, find a place to relaunch, cross the valley and go deep into terrain to the SE, back out to the valley and tag a small cylinder near the junction of highway 20 and 89, then fly directly down the valley to goal in Panguitch. It’s going to be an exciting day!
