With yet another stellar forecast the task committee decided to keep things a little less aggressive on the final day with the hopes that we could get everyone back in decent time for a nice closing ceremony, some good food and a good sleep. All divisions would start the day […]

It didn’t seem possible to send our athletes into a more special place than we did yesterday, but today the task committee might have sent the benchmark for unbeatable beauty. We haven’t been to Mt Edna since year 1. It’s one the highest peak in Southern Utah (nearly 12,000′) and […]
Since the inception of the Global Rescue XRedRocks four years ago it has always been our dream to send our athletes out into the “Swell”, the desert to East of the Wasatch Plateau that encompasses some of Utah’s most incredible and famous natural wonders. Think Capital Reef, Goblin Valley, Escalante, […]
This is the 4th year of the Global Rescue XRedRocks and we haven’t had a forecast like we do this week since the first year. Today the task committee called a challenging task headed north from Cove for all three Divisions. It’s stable and a touch windy and going to […]
The countdown to the 2024 Global Rescue is officially on! In less than 5 months over 80 athletes will descend on Monroe to go hard in the amazing backcountry of Utah’s canyonlands. Let’s give the following athletes a big round of applause, they have some heavy training ahead! We will […]
What an amazing race. This year truly had it all. Amazing and tough flying, psychedelic scenery, and big miles on the ground through Utah's wonders. Aaron Durogati battled a nasty virus throughout but hung on with another incredible win, defending his title and North American athlete Eric Klammer snuck into second place ousting the great Pal Takats on the final day with really awesome flying day one and two and then a convincing first place run on the final day.
The winds today are going to be nuclear and very unsafe for flying. So the task committee has come up with something incredibly fun and interesting. Our athletes are headed to Capital Reef National park and going to pound out a race on foot to decide who is going to make the podium. In the Adventure Division we have a 4 way tie in first place going into today and in the Pro Division 5 points separates 1st through 5th place. Everything is on the line!
After a huge day 1 our task committee hasn't backed off even a little bit and two big tasks for both Divisions have been set.
After three amazing presentations from our European friends Pal Takats, Markus Anders and Aaron Durogati on Tuesday and Wednesday nights it's time for some racing! The task has been set and at 0800 this morning task one of the 2023 Global Rescue XRedRocks gets underway!
