That’s a Wrap!

Holy whirlwind batman! That was a crazy 3 days of racing in the psychedelic colors of Southern Utah! The 2022 Global Rescue XRedRocks proved to be substantially harder than the 21′ event on the ground AND in the air. Tough weather threw a hell of a curve ball at our task committee to come up with tasks that would be safe and doable and they absolutely crushed it. Months of hard work putting together a big selection of tasks paid off in that they had a well of options to go to, but not one of them was used in its original format because none of them were even possible. But we got competitors in goal every day, monumental efforts were done on the ground, and those who really pounded it out on day three were rewarded by a glass off flight that Aaron Durogati declared was “one of the best flights of my life!”

Tanguy Renoud-Goud takes off in high winds
Ground game…Ben Abruzzo and Rob Curran pound it out

Results are published here. Aaron Durogati, Tanguy Renoud-Goud and Kevin Carter go home with some very nice prize money and in the Adventure Division some unreal performances saw Samuel Inouye, William Buckner and Isaac Lammers land on the podium this year. Looking forward to seeing these crushers in the PRO Division next year!
