And they are off! After a task briefing the athletes are setting off for the Cove Launch from the Main LZ at the Rodeo Grounds to put their skills to the test for day 1! Follow along on live tracking as the groups are taking very different routes!

Samuel Inouye and Isaac Lammers into GOAL!

Our first two Adventure Division pilots have just made goal and David Chen is getting there shortly. Meanwhile some of the pilots just behind our leaders in the PRO division have hit the dirt and are charging north on foot as they got shaded out and were jumped in the air by Jared Scheid and Tyler Burns who just landed into goal with HUGE smiles!

Short but tough! Day 2 XRedRocks

Today’s weather presented our task committee with a really difficult decision. How to maximize the day when the day is going to be so dynamic and potentially dangerous? With the likelihood for really big cells and lots of wind, especially up high they had to pick a task that kept everyone low, and out of the terrain. They ended up setting both PRO and ADVENTURE tasks exactly the same, which started with a pretty mean 12km pound and 3600′ of gain to the first turnpoint.
